If you get a sunburn rather than a suntan, have light hair or pale skin, please keep very alert about any changes to your skin. Always use a high factor sunblock SPF 15 or higher, don't get a tan this summer, don't use a tanning bed, be alert to the dangers of skin cancer whatever your skin type or tone and see your GP as soon as you detect any changes of colour to a mole or spot, proactivly tell people about this dangerous form of Skin Cancer, which is on the rise as the global climate gets more extreme. Information is the best way of alerting people to the dangers of the sun and reducing apathy or inaction in those who might already be affected without knowing it ...... but trust me on the sunscreen!
